What You Pay — And What You Don't

Three Tiers. One Price Per Visit. That's It.

Most handyman services charge by the hour. That means you're paying for LA traffic, supply runs, setup time, and any inefficiency in the work. You don't know the final bill until the work is done. We think that's backwards. You should know the price before the work starts — and it shouldn't change halfway through.

Craft & Hands operates on three flat-rate pricing tiers. Text us photos of your job. We tell you which tier applies and what's included. That's the price — no hourly upcharges, no "unexpected complexity" fees, no travel surcharges within our service area. If the job takes longer than we estimated, the price doesn't change. If we finish faster, it doesn't change either. You're paying for the result, not the clock.

The Three Tiers

Service Call — $179

One straightforward job. Typically finished in under an hour. Examples: mount a single TV on drywall over studs. Assemble one piece of IKEA furniture (dresser, desk, bed frame). Replace one light fixture. Install one curtain rod. Replace one set of drawer slides. Install one smart lock or video doorbell. Hang one heavy mirror. This tier covers the majority of individual handyman tasks.

Home Fix — $369

Multiple small jobs in one visit. Up to roughly three hours of focused work. Examples: mount a TV plus install curtain rods in two rooms. Assemble a bed, nightstand, and dresser (full bedroom setup). Mount a TV plus hang shelves and patch two small drywall holes. Replace drawer slides in the kitchen plus adjust three cabinet doors. Install smart lock, video doorbell, and thermostat in one visit. The Home Fix tier is our most popular — it's the right size for the typical "handyman list" that accumulates over months.

Multi-Task Visit — $899

A full day of handyman work. Everything on your list, handled in one scheduled day. Examples: assemble all furniture for a one-bedroom apartment, mount TVs in two rooms, install curtain rods throughout, repair kitchen drawers, and patch drywall holes. Pre-move-in or pre-listing property preparation with 8-15 tasks. Full-day property maintenance for landlords and property managers. This tier replaces multiple separate visits with one coordinated day of work.

What Affects the Tier

When you text photos, here's what we're looking at to determine which tier your job fits: number of separate tasks, wall types involved (concrete/masonry takes longer than standard drywall), TV size and bracket type, and whether hardware needs to be sourced. We're not looking for reasons to push you to a higher tier — we're matching the tier to the actual scope of work. If your job clearly fits Service Call, that's what you'll pay.

What's Never Extra

Travel within our service area. Cleanup. Basic hardware (standard anchors, screws, touch-up supplies). Packaging removal. Safety anchoring of furniture. Consultation on placement and hardware choices during the job. These are included in every tier.

What May Be Additional

TV brackets and specialty mounting hardware — we carry common options and quote bracket cost separately from labor. Replacement drawer slides, cabinet hinges, and hardware — quoted separately based on what your job needs. Curtain rods, blinds, and window treatment hardware — we can bring standard options or install what you've purchased. We always quote hardware costs during the estimate, before you book.

Text photos of your job to +1 (323) 212-0457 for an exact flat-rate quote. You'll know the price before you book — guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a hidden travel fee or service charge?

No. Travel within our service area (Westside and central LA) is included in the flat rate. There are no service charges, fuel surcharges, or minimum fees beyond the tier price.

What if the job takes longer than estimated?

The price doesn't change. Our flat-rate model means you pay the quoted tier price regardless of how long the work takes. If we underestimated complexity, that's on us — not you.

Can I combine different types of work in one visit?

Yes — that's the whole point of our pricing model. The Home Fix and Multi-Task tiers are designed for combining different tasks in one visit. Text photos of everything and we'll tell you which tier fits.

Do you charge extra for weekends or same-day service?

No. Same-day, weekend, and evening (up to 8pm) service are all the same flat rates. We're available 8am-8pm seven days a week with no premium pricing.

What if you can't complete the job?

If we can't complete the job due to conditions we couldn't assess from your photos (unsafe wiring, structural issues, incompatible hardware), we don't charge you. We'll explain what's needed and you only pay for work actually performed.

How do I pay?

We accept cash, check, Zelle, and major credit cards. Payment is due when the work is complete and you've confirmed everything is done to your satisfaction.
