Everything on Your Walls, Done Right
Professional Mounting for Every Wall Application
Empty walls make a home feel unfinished. But hanging things properly — finding anchors that hold, keeping everything level, spacing items evenly — takes tools, hardware, and experience. A poorly anchored shelf pulls out of the drywall. A heavy mirror hung on a single nail is a disaster waiting to happen. Curtain rods that sag in the middle look terrible no matter how nice the drapes are.
We handle every kind of wall hanging with the right hardware for your wall type. Drywall anchors rated for the actual weight. Toggle bolts for heavy loads between studs. Direct stud mounting whenever possible. Every item is leveled, spaced correctly, and secured so it stays put.
What We Hang
- Floating shelves — The kind with hidden brackets that create a clean, modern look. We mount them level and strong enough to hold books, plants, or display items. Single shelves, staggered arrangements, full wall systems.
- Curtain rods and drapery hardware — Standard rods, double rods, bay window rods, ceiling-mounted tracks. We mount brackets into studs or use heavy-duty drywall anchors. Rods sit level and brackets are spaced correctly for the rod span.
- Mirrors — Wall mirrors, leaning mirrors that need safety anchoring, bathroom mirrors, framed mirrors. Heavy mirrors get toggle bolts or direct stud mounting. We never trust a mirror to drywall anchors alone.
- Artwork and framed pieces — Single pieces, gallery walls, oversized canvases. We measure, mark, and hang so everything is straight and evenly spaced. Gallery walls get a layout plan before the first nail.
- Window blinds and shades — Inside-mount and outside-mount blinds, roller shades, Roman shades, cellular shades. Precise measurements, level mounting, smooth operation tested.
- Wall-mounted accessories — Coat racks, key holders, bathroom hardware (towel bars, robe hooks, toilet paper holders). Small items, same careful mounting.
Wall Types and Anchor Selection
Los Angeles homes have every wall type in the book. Drywall over wood studs is most common in single-family homes and newer construction. Drywall over metal studs appears in many condo and apartment buildings. Plaster and lath is common in older homes in South Pasadena and Santa Monica. We carry anchors for all of them and know which fastener to use for which load.

Common Wall Hanging Mistakes We Fix
We've seen it all: floating shelves that tip forward because the bracket wasn't shimmed. Curtain rods with one bracket in a stud and the other in drywall only — always sags on the drywall side. Gallery walls where frames drift out of level because the layout wasn't planned first. Heavy mirrors hung with picture hooks rated for 20 pounds when the mirror weighs 45. These are easy mistakes to make and easy for us to prevent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you hang items on plaster walls?
Yes. Plaster walls require different anchors than drywall — typically toggle bolts or specialized plaster anchors that grip the lath behind the plaster. We carry the right hardware and know the technique to avoid cracking the plaster.
How do you make sure shelves are level?
We use both laser levels and traditional bubble levels. For multiple shelves, we measure from a reference point (floor or ceiling) to ensure consistent spacing, then level each shelf individually. Floating shelves also get shimmed at the bracket if the wall isn't perfectly flat.
Can you hang a heavy mirror on drywall without studs?
Yes — using toggle bolts or snap-toggle anchors rated for the mirror's weight. However, for very heavy mirrors (50+ pounds), we strongly prefer hitting at least one stud. We'll evaluate during the estimate and use the safest mounting method.
Do you do gallery wall layouts?
Yes. We can work from a layout you've planned, or we can plan the spacing and arrangement on-site. We use paper templates or light pencil marks to test the layout before putting holes in the wall. You approve the arrangement before we start hanging.
What curtain rod hardware do you recommend?
That depends on your window, rod span, and drapery weight. For spans over 6 feet, we recommend a center support bracket. For heavy drapes, we mount brackets into studs whenever possible. We can suggest rod and bracket types during the estimate.
Can you mount blinds inside a window frame?
Yes — inside-mount blinds require precise measurements and careful drilling into the window frame or drywall opening. We check for plumb and square before mounting so the blinds operate smoothly and sit flush.
